Mas, proudly part of the IntoWork Australia Group, is a not for profit business providing employment and training opportunities for individuals and communities across Australia.

Mas is contracted by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment to deliver Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) services across multiple states. Our knowledgeable and passionate team support employers, relevant stakeholders and individuals from pre-commencement through to completion of an apprenticeship/traineeship.

**About the Role**

The Business Consultant Team Leader plays an important role in the delivery of the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) services. They are responsible for the performance of the Team of Business Consultants in developing business relationships that are required to meet contracted and performance targets.

Business Consultants provide a high level of consistent customer service to our Apprentices/Trainees, Employers and Key Stakeholders through provision of advice, training contract administration and monitoring. Business Consultants are committed to the delivery of the account management process as well as displaying excellent communication and business development skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise Business Consultants to ensure they provide high quality customer service by giving staff direction, ensuring availability of staff to cover absences, assisting staff to improve their performance, identifying any staff training and ensure team is achieving set KPI’s.
- Provide effective leadership and people management to the field staff to ensure quality outcomes, including systematically managing performance appraisals and professional development.
- Have a high understanding of the AASN contract and guidelines to confidently direct you team with superior advice and innovative ideas and solutions to overcome all challenges.
- Prioritise and plan the workload for the team and prepare reports on the performance of the team for the State Manager
- Work with your team and within your region to build business and look for new Australian Apprenticeship opportunities.
- Implement strategies and practices that will assist the team to grow their regions and market share for the AASN.
- Valid Australian drivers licence
- Certificate IV or higher in Business or Marketing is highly desirable
- Experience in the VET sector is highly desirable
- Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to clients
- Proven experience in leading teams in a high volume environment
- Demonstrable ability to communicate with, lead and manage the performance of staff under your remit as well the requisite skills to build rapport and relationships with a diverse range of organisational stakeholders
- A high level of personal organisation and flexibility; a strong desire to undertake and lead new business development initiatives on behalf of the organisation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
