A support worker working in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in NSW provides direct assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The role involves promoting independence, assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and facilitating community participation to enhance the well-being and quality of life of NDIS participants.

**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in-home support and community access.
- Provide direct assistance to each client in accordance with their individual care plan, which also include activities of daily living and personal care.
- Support clients to access activities and outings in the community.
- Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures and client rights.
- Participate in the Lifestyle Service Planning process for individual clients and monitor outcomes.
- Work with clients, family/carers, relevant case managers and other professionals to support the client's individual goals.
- Liaise extensively with the Enable Hub team to ensure the provision of safe and client
- care.
- Report regularly to the manager, and provide a written report of the shift daily.
- Updated knowledge and information about the contents of the NDIS system and provide care accordingly.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Certificate III in Disability Support or Aged Care or Relevant
- Driving License of Australia - Experience with a disability van will be prioritized.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current Criminal Record Check (within 1 year)
- CPR and Current First Aid Certification (within 1 year)
- Valid COVID Vaccination

**DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE**
- Previous experience supporting people with physical or mental disability - minimum of 6 months experience.
- Demonstrated proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, priorities and organize work / caseload.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development, quality improvement.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
