**Who is the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator?**
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as a national entity responsible for
regulating all vehicles in Australia over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. Located in Brisbane, the NHVR minimises the
compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry, reduces duplication and inconsistencies across state and
territory borders, and ultimately for the heavy vehicle business with government in Australia.

Position Description | Receptionist
The Corporate Services Division provides strategic vision and purpose through strategic planning, corporate governance,
performance improvement and the delivery of corporate services.
**Primary Objectives**
Provide a professional, customer focused approach as the first point of contact for the NHVR. The role will be responsible
for administrative support as required and co-ordinating front-desk activities.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**
- Ensure that guests, visitors and deliveries are acknowledged and received in a professional and timely manner.
- Receive, record and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Register all incoming correspondence in the records management system.
- Book and oversee the allocation of centrally managed meeting rooms.
- Issue AO, RA and staff ID cards to all new employees and maintain ID card register.
- Coordinate the provision of building security/access cards to staff, guests and visitors.
- General housekeeping of meeting rooms and kitchenette areas including town hall preparation
- Management of stationery and general office supplies including business card proofs
- Work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the business support function team members to provide

quality customer service and timely business support services.
- Provide support for other business support officers when required.
- Adhere to all NHVR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NHVR internal processes.
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe and health work environment.

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely provide a range

of administrative support
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to manage effective relationships with customers, stakeholders and

colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of people to provide consistent, responsive and high quality support.

**Qualifications and Experience**
**Highly Regarded**:

- Minimum 3 Years of experience in reception roles.
- Demonstrate organisational and administrative skills
- Industry recognised qualifications and/or relevant experience in business administration.
- Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire working knowledge of heavy vehicle industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate across a range of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Expereince in using a range of systems including MS Office suite and records management.
