ING, Australia’s most recommended bank for the 3rd year running is looking for a **COE Lead, Design** expert to join our ranks. This role requires a design thought leader who is passionate about creating differentiated customer experiences across all our touchpoints.

For the COE you will build out the craft and promote best practice methodology, patterns, style guides, and creation of high-quality artefacts and design maturity. The customer research stream and different techniques and approaches.

In conjunction with your team, management of the incoming pipeline of initiatives the delivery of research and UX and Design artefacts for all projects and initiatives. This also includes acting as the chief custodian of quality for our digital channels, building out adoption of collaboration, tools & systems and input in to the strategy for future horizons of digital leadership across all our touchpoints to exceed our customers’ expectations.

This is also a pivotal role in leading the PACE (INGs Human Centered Design approach) practice to embed throughout the organization and re-imagine experiences for our customers.

Are you ready to take this to the next level

**What are you going to do? You will be**
- Leading an amazing team of specializing in the UX, UI and PACE space
- Promoting UX methodology including all artefacts, and ensure they are embedded within the Delivery Framework.
- Providing user experience and design direction and artefacts to projects. This includes: user testing, interface designs, interactive prototypes, visual designs, information architecture, personas, scenarios, etc.
- Acting as the custodian of quality for our Digital Channels ensuring designs are approved before they go into development, and are QA’d before being released.
- Communicating regularly with stakeholders to better understand their roadmaps and challenges, to help sell the benefits of UX, and to demonstrate that you can add value.

**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Leadership experience of high performing teams
- Experience managing and coaching a team of UX / UI Designers / PACE coaches
- Demonstrated thought leader in the customer experience space
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to meet deadlines across a range of projects simultaneously
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or other equivalent design tool
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Query, user layer web technologies and standards
- Strong working knowledge of information architecture, task-flow models, UI Specs, Design Specs, wire framing, prototyping and user-centred design principles
