Our fields of expertise include underwater sonar, GNSS, radio frequency systems, inertial sensors, robotics, quantum sensors and photonics.
**Overview of Position**
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Assist with the onboarding process including but not limited to; orientation session meeting bookings, equipment and desk set up
- Assist with preparation of position descriptions and assist with issuing to new starters and follow up
- Draft employment documentation - eg confirmation of probation, employment and change of conditions letters
- Track and monitor internship program
- Assist with tracking actioning employment changes and updating status in a employee change register
- Maintaining employee files on our HRIS and Payroll platform
- Ensuring data is accurate and kept up to date on a variety of HRIS platforms including Payscale, Culture Amp, Employment Hero and Go1
- Supporting employees with day-to-day enquiries
- Supporting the People and Culture team on project-based activities linked to the P&C Calendar
- Assisting with fortnightly town hall meetings including creating presentations and liaising with managers on new starter introductions
- Assisting with general people and culture projects and support as well as reporting
- Assist with tracking and reporting on Onboarding metrics
- Assisting with Employee Bonus Program process
- Periodically assist with audits and provide administrative support to the talent acquisition team, including posting job adverts on government job posting websites
- Support in managing the employee recognition and awards program (in accordance with our EPPIC values)
- Recommend and implement administrative process improvements
**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent (or currently completing)
- 6+ months of relevant work experience or in an administrative role
- Experience of using Google Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with initiative and independently
- Strong administrative skills with a focus on accuracy and high attention to detail
- Proactive approach to tasks and accountability
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Someone who is willing to go an extra mile to achieve great results
