**Description**:
As an Accounts Payable professional at Valeo Construction Group in Victoria, you will play a crucial role in the Finance department. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Accounting & Finance. Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing and maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Managing vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliation
- Handling customer invoicing, payments, and collections
- Monitoring and resolving discrepancies in financial transactions
- Preparing and issuing financial reports as required
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Adhering to company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with accounting regulations

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Proven experience in accounts payable processes
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in using CHEOPS accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data
- Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively
- Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, trades, and internal team members including project Contract Administrators
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines consistently
- Experience in maintaining complete and accurate financial records
- accounting qualifications preferred but not essential
