This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

**The role**

As a brand bringing elevated hype around Legendary Charcoal Chicken (and our famous garlic sauce) EJ’s Work Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring workplace health and safety practices, content creation, development and execution of the business.
- Excellent English skills
- The right to work in Australia
- Diploma in WHS or equivalent qualifications
- Food Processing Industry experience as an WHS or Occupational Health Professional Minimum of 2 years of work experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong time management skills
- Flexibility to travel intrastate or interstate
- Driver’s license class C

**Responsibilities include**:

- Be responsible for the effective implementation of safety processes and efficient record keeping
- Undertake WHS review process and recommend areas of improvements to management
- Ensuring that there are effective WHS/Environmental management plans in place for the company, as well as enforcing and updating these plans as necessary
- Creating, enforcing, and updating strategies to ensure high levels of hygiene, health, and safety in the venue (in relation to food, water, waste, and noise)
- Identifying hazards and assessing and controlling the risk associated
- Reducing chemical and physical hazards by developing, implementing, and monitoring programs within the workplace
- Inspecting all aspects of the workplace (workplaces, processes, chemicals, etc.) to ensure legislative compliance
- Working with a team to develop and implement El Jannah’s official training program
- Training employees to correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and to follow safe work procedures
- Reporting incidents and near misses in the workplace and recording safety performances
- Organising the return of an injured worker to the workplace

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
