**About the Opportunity**

Are you ready to step into an exciting role that combines strategic planning, category management, and supplier relationship management? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Category Coordinator to support our Category Manager in crafting and executing a shopper-led, channel-specific trade plan. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing product lifecycles, pricing strategies, promotions, and much more.

It's a **12 months fixed-term** role.

**In this Role**
- Collaborate with the Category Manager to meet retail sales and income goals, driving improvements in COGS.
- Support Trading Managers with daily sourcing, pricing, promotions, costing, and supplier management activities.
- Ensure all paperwork, including promotions, new lines, deletions, supplier changes, and price changes, is processed timely and accurately through MDG.
- Provide MDG with validated pricing and new line data.
- Manage category promotions using MetProms.
- Analyze and offer insights into sales and income opportunities, benefiting both Metcash and retailers by understanding suppliers and competitors.

**You’re Likely a Match If** you have**
- Experience or strong understanding of retail and/or FMCG.
- Proficiency in data and analytics tools like Excel, Power BI, and Circana.
- Knowledge of Category Management, 4P principles, and basic negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate category and shopper insights into actionable plans.
- Strong commercial acumen, customer focus, and a proven track record of delivering priorities under pressure.
