SensesWA is a leading not-for-profit organisation with over 126 years’ history in providing disability services in Western Australia. Our purpose is to build capacity by providing comprehensive services, specialising in sensory loss, positive behaviour support and children’s therapies.

At SensesWA, we focus on recruiting the right people and offering targeted training so we can seamlessly match a person with a disability with the right support worker to engage in new experiences, establish community connections, develop independent living skills and live a fulfilling life.

We are currently seeking passionate and reliable support workers for the Perth Metro Southeast regions to provide community access supports to individual clients.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Demonstrated experience working with people with a range of disabilities; including working with Male clients providing personal care services;
- Possess a high level of trust, honesty and integrity and be able to maintain professional relationships;
- Have a high level of resilience and experience working with people who may present with difficult and challenging situations;
- An ability and willingness to participate and support people in a range of social and leisure activities;
- Current ‘Provide First Aid’ certificate (with at least 1 year validity remaining);
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain);
- Provide proof of COVID-19 Booster Vaccination;
- Current WA Working With Children's Check; and
- Current Australian Driver’s License and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- An ability to provide personal care to people who need it, including support with Personal Hygiene including bowl care, dressing and hoisting;
- Willingness to undergo various related paid trainings as provided by the organisation;
- Certificate III or IV in Disability.
