**Lead Asset Artist**

We are currently on the lookout for a **Lead Asset Artist** to join the Pixel Zoo team at our studio in North Lakes (Brisbane Northern Suburb)

We are currently on the lookout for a Lead Asset Artist to join the Pixel Zoo team at our studio in North Lakes (Brisbane Northern Suburb).

Expected Tasks Include:

- Work closely with Directors, other team leads and other artists to ensure content is created as expected and to a high standard.
- Implement changes as directed and in accordance with the Production schedule
- Where necessary, you will learn additional skills required to aid in production and assist others as required.
- Collaborate with the rigging and lighting lead
- Work with the CG Supervisor to define/improve asset workflows
- Mentor other asset artists in technical procedures and workflows
- Define and create asset show templated along with the lighting lead and the CG Supervisor
- Oversee the daily activities and capabilities of the asset team
- Work with the Production Team to identify appropriate staffing levels and needs and attend interviews for new hires when needed
- Ensuring all work follows studio policies and guidelines

Essential Skills:

- 5+ years in Production Pipeline
- Extensive experience in Maya, the Adobe Suite and Scripting
- Ability to define and create asset show templates along with the Lighting Lead and the CG Supervisor
- Great communication skills in order to collaborate with the rigging and lighting team
- Experience working on an animation series production
- The ability to partner with management to guide artists overall professional development, providing performance feedback, mentoring, assisting to resolve performance issues and maintaining positive morale amongst the crew.
- You have the ability to prioritise tasks to have the most impact with the time and resources available
- Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve issues.

This position is based at our North Lakes Studio where public transport is easily available.

Salary offered will be dependent on experience.
