Provide effective specialist security advice and deliver security emergency management reporting across a diverse and complex Sate Government Portfolio as a trusted security advisor.

**Your new role**:
As the Agency Security Advisor, you will provide trusted, specialist security advice to executives and business units. You will proactively work to ensure compliance with the South Australian Protective Security Framework (SAPSF) and applicable protective security requirements are imbedded in relevant systems, policies, and procedures.

You will undertake a variety of activities including but not limited to:

- Coordinating and undertaking complex and strategically focused planning, management and reporting on security requirements and usage within the Department for Health and Wellbeing and the Local Health Networks.
- Proactive detection of threats and vulnerabilities within SA Health and developing systems to capture and respond to security breaches in an urgent manner.
- Providing specialist advice pertaining to continuous improvement of security protection for workforce resources and assets including built infrastructure, ICT and Biomedical Equipment with an awareness of increasing complexities of risk threats across the portfolio.
- Ensuring efficient operational management in relation to corporate security for the Department for Health and Wellbeing.
- Developing relevant policies, procedures, and manuals, assessing trends, and advising risks in ongoing incidents, reporting and training of staff with regards to their obligations under the Security framework.

**About you**:
As the successful Agency Security Advisor, you will champion the values of integrity and credibility and approach the role with a responsive and cognizant mindset. You will make sound and timely decisions which consider environmental factors and stakeholder needs. You will possess the following:

- Qualifications in Security and Risk Management qualification or the ability to obtain.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting, reviewing and implementing policy instructions and providing expert advisory and consultation services to senior executives.
- Experience in research, collection, manipulation and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data; and the presentation of data for use by a wide variety of audiences, including large group presentations.
- Experience in the establishment of controls and measures in managing risks within a large, complex organisation.
- Extensive Knowledge of the South Australian Protective Security Framework.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
