**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Drive commercial trade and investment outcomes in collaboration with the Director and contribute to the administrative and operational management of the team.
- Manage the unit's priority sector client portfolio to ensure KPI targets are met, and future pipelines are developed.
- Ensure that TIQ's CRM and digital tools are utilised, to monitor and regularly report on business activities and outcomes to the executive and senior management.
- Provide expert advice on trade and investment issues and opportunities for the Unit's priority sectors, providing recommended solutions to resolve and achieve outcomes.
- Lead the Unit's investment attraction facilitation including development of investment attraction business cases, engendering cross government collaboration and undertaking consultation/negotiations with potential investors.
- Initiate and implement innovative projects and initiatives for the priority sectors aligned to the QLD Trade and Investment Strategy and the wider TIQ/Queensland Government.
- In collaboration with the Director, provide strong, motivational collective leadership to develop and maintain a high performing team, fostering a professional environment which encourages commitment to ethical behaviour, skills development, and continuous improvement.
- Provide specialist sectoral advice, undertake research, keep abreast and monitor current industry, sector trends and government policies in the support of supply and demand of new critical developments and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and develop TIQ Board papers, minister briefs and reports for management review and consideration.
- Support the Director to facilitate TIQ's planning, budgeting, monitoring and forecasting processes, business planning and quarterly reporting.
- Establish effective business relationships and manage stakeholder engagement to foster collaborations with government and industry
- Employ effective communication strategies, protocols, stakeholder negotiation and liaison activities across cultures and other private and public sector organisations.
- Represent TIQ on inter-departmental, national and industry committees and present and participate in key government and business forums.
