The People Team play an important role in creating an environment that enables CSIRO people to do the best science of their lives. Our People Transformation is a new program of work underway that is designed to reimagine the way that the People Team delivers support to people and leaders at CSIRO in order to provide outstanding people experiences that are more integrated, simplified and customer centric.

Every day our people and our science deliver on this purpose by a range of Enterprise Services (ES) functions, from People, HSE, Finance, BD&G, Commercial and Corporate Affairs, through to Governance, IM&T and CBIS.

Strategic Partners are a small team of experienced HR practitioners who engage and partner with senior leaders to understand CSIRO business needs, provide strategic advice and broker people services & initiatives. A Strategic Partner plays a key role in understanding the commercial needs and priorities of CSIRO and translating them into a plan to guide the People Teams effort. The strategic partner is the entry point or ‘front door’ into the People Team for Executives looking for guidance and support in running their business unit and are critical in improving People business value.

The Strategic Partner - Enterprise Services is an essential leadership position in the Strategic Partnering team, reporting to the Executive Manager - People Partnering. As the Strategic Partner - Enterprise Services you will be responsible for leading and directing a small team of Strategic Partners supporting CSIRO Business Units and providing input into business unit strategy and people matters relevant to business success.

As the Strategic Partner - Enterprise Services you will also be responsible for partnering with senior leaders across our Enterprise Services teams who are focused on our Enterprise Services of the Future vision (ESOF). ESOF is a transformation program that will reimagine the way Enterprise Service (ES) functions are delivered and experienced across CSIRO.

**Your duties will include**:

- Lead and direct a small team of Strategic Partners to engage and partner with senior leaders to understand CSIRO business needs, provide strategic advice, and broker people services and initiatives.
- Contribute to actively as a member of the Extended People Leadership Team and member of the people Partnering Leadership.
- Lead the activities of other Strategic Partners in collaboration with the Executive Manager People Partnering, ensuring effective team performance, developing team members.
- Engage and Partner with senior leaders to understand CSIRO business needs, provide strategic advice and broker people services and initiatives.
- Be a proactive participant on applicable leadership teams, advising on people matters.
- Provide input into business unit strategy and people matters relevant to business success, such as talent development, succession, workforce and operational planning, organisational design.
- Understand business needs and translate business unit strategy and requirements into the People plan to guide the People Teams effort.
- Support senior leaders to deliver organisational change in their respective business units, monitor the impact of business decisions on people and support the development of the desired employer brand and culture.
- Challenge the business to ensure integrated people strategy, talent strategy approach, and fair people management.
- Combine internal expertise with the knowledge of the latest trends in HR to suggest appropriate solutions to business unit challenges.

**Salary**:AU$141k - AU$157k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:

- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or other relevant discipline.
- A track record of developing of effective people solutions to diverse business problems and supporting senior executives within a professional services environment.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a role providing generalist and strategic HR advice on a range of complex HR, organisational and employee relations issues across the e
