The department is seeking a highly skilled and energetic Test Lead to work in our project team.

This is a fast-paced environment, and we require an enthusiastic, professional tester focused on delivering quality outcomes. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on projects using leading-edge technology.

Responsibilities may include:

- Effectively lead and oversee testing team deliverables to meet the program goals, scope, and timeframe on a large platform modernisation of a key department system.
- Identify the scope of the testing required for a particular release based on the business outcomes and aligned to the department's agile delivery methodology.
- Support the program leadership team with testing estimation at a program level, PI level, and sprint level.
- Produce a Test Strategy and Release Plan after discussions with the test team and review by the program leadership team.
- Identify the tools for Test Reporting, Test Management, and Test Automation and educate the team on how to use those tools. (Prior experience with leading automated testing approaches, tools, and practice would be highly regarded).
- Lead Test Planning activities for test case design, identify the testing effort required monitor progress and manage timeframes.
- Lead test release activities including reporting test status updates and test sign-off readiness.
- Managing the recording and analysis of actions and results, carrying out tasks for incident management, change management, and defect reporting.

**Working arrangements**:
Full-Time Requirement: Onsite, standard 8 hours per day, and 40 hours per week in total.

Flexible Working Arrangements (including remote working arrangements): Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis against the business requirements of the department and the needs of the immediate work area.
- public holidays; and
- Christmas shutdown, from 12:30 pm on the last working day before Christmas Day and reopening the first working day following the first day of January each year.

**Essential criteria**:

- Extensive experience (5 years+) undertaking technical system and integration testing of large-scale systems, using manual or automated testing methods.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, and experience using the Azure DevOps toolset
- Strong personal qualities including well-developed communication skills, an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, sound prioritization, time management, and organizational skills. Must also have a strong personal drive and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Automation testers must have demonstrated well-developed scripting skills in C#, VBS, Java, and Ruby, and use these skills in the development of effective automation testing. Experience in advanced automation testing, with a focus on the development of technical automation solutions to provide efficient testing outcomes.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Previous experience working on the IT systems or experience in a Government Agency is highly desired.
