We are an Integrative Medicine General Practice seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team on a casual basis. As a casual medical receptionist, a willingness to work evenings and Saturdays is required; along with the ability to work varying days, and shifts/hours throughout the week, averaging 15 hours per week. **Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for all reception duties including**: - Acting as the first point of contact to patients, greeting them on arrival and accurately processing relevant paperwork - Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries - Scheduling appointments - Entering and processing patient billing - Reconciling daily banking - Scanning and document management - Maintaining confidential patient information and records - Liaising with medical professionals, pathology services, couriers, and other medical suppliers - Ad hoc administrative tasks - Maintenance and general cleaning of reception area, consulting rooms, and amenity areas - Autoclaving and maintaining medical instruments - Adhering to Practice protocols, policies, and procedures **Skills & Experience**: - Prior experience in a healthcare reception role, ideally in a general practice setting - High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) - Ability to communicate with clarity both verbally (face-to-face and telephone) and written - Ability to work under pressure and respond to fluctuating workflow - Proven multi-tasking and problem-solving skills whilst maintaining critical attention to detail in a fast-paced environment - Efficient time management skills and ability to carefully plan and prioritise tasks - Ability to work both independently with mínimal supervision and also collaboratively within a small team - Ability to follow direction; accept feedback, learn new tasks, and adapt to change. Strong written and verbal communication skills The successful applicant must be reliable, possess a strong work ethic and be flexible with hours of work. Must have had a minimum of two Covid-19 vaccinations.
