Exciting opportunity for an Environmental and Planning Approvals Manager in Brisbane CBD.

**Your new company**
Your new company is a Public Sector Authority located in Brisbane CBD. They are looking for an Environmental and Planning Approvals Manager to join the Victoria Park Project Team, reporting to the Principal Project Manager Planning.

**Your new role**
In your new role, you will be providing key leadership qualities, such as advice and guidance, to the Victoria Park Project contractors and customers, to help achieve environmental, heritage and planning responsibilities and obligations. You will also:

- develop environmental strategies, systems, processes and objectives, and reporting.
- Provide advice, information and reports to senior management and staff on environmental policies, legislation, environmental research
- Procure and manage the preparation of required assessments and reports to meet due diligence, statutory and best practice management including relevant stakeholder engagement

**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, such as development, implementation, auditing, and integration with other systems. As well as:

- Experience in environmental risk management advice and services
- knowledge of environmental, heritage and planning legislation and practices
- Demonstrated ability with communication skills, such as negotiate, facilitate, present to establish effective relationships
- Desirable to have a Tertiary Qualification (or equivalent) in Environmental Management, planning, Science, Chemistry, Engineering or a relevant field.
- Desirable to have a White Card

**What you'll get in return**
The initial contract is 1 year long, however the project is expected to last for a few years, and therefore a possibility to extend based on performance. Hourly rate suggests $65-$75 depending on experience.
