The Technology Manager - Azure Managed Services. is responsible for overseeing the managed services technical delivery team.
The team comprises of 20 very talented Azure engineers located across Australia and Malaysia, who love what they do and are motivated by customer satisfaction.
The Technology Manager ensures the team are focusing on the right tasks at the right time to maximise customer success.
Performance is measured by customer satisfaction and retention, which is achieved through high quality delivery, meeting all SLAs, driving operational and technical excellence, process compliance and adherence, and of coarse continuous improvement and innovation.

You will need to have the right mix of confidence, experience, and passion to successfully juggle the below responsibilities to be successful in this role.
**_ Azure Managed Services Operations_**
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the managed services engineering/operations team.
Manage the teams delivery quality and performance in order to satisfy the managed services requirements into a growing number of high value customers. Currently there are over 20 customers but this is expected to grow.
Ensure that all service requests, incidents, and problems are managed in accordance with ITIL best practises and meeting SLA’s and customer expectations.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, collaborative work environment, encouraging career growth and professional development.
Ensure that the team has the right capabilities, up to date with the latest tech trends, tools, and certifications relevant to azure managed services.
Assist in reviewing service contracts and design specifications for newly onboarded customers to ensure your team has a full understanding of deliverables and requirements.
Monitor escalations and be aware of all critical issues to ensure they are being resolved in a timely manner.
Track, analyse, and report on key governance items. Own the monthly technical governance process and present to the client all the relevant service updates and insights.
Ensuring ISO/security best practices are implemented and followed.

Azure Technical Leadership_**
Deep understanding of azure cloud infrastructure technology and how it relates to the customers technical and business outcomes. You will need to have extensive experience in Azure operations including but not limited to:
- IaaS (Compute, Network, Storage) & PaaS
- Cloud Migrations & Transformations
- Cloud Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
- Cloud Governance, Compliance and Security best practice
- SecOps (Defender for Cloud)
- CostOps (optimising cost/performance)
- Enforcing good architectural principles
- Being a technical escalation point and providing the team with technical guidance and oversight
- Develop infrastructure as code on Azure using best practices and implementations across all environments from dev to production.
With your technical understanding of Azure and process understanding of the managed services engagement model you would also be asked to help the cloud product management team to modernise and further develop the azure managed services offering. This involves leading the development and implementation of new processes and innovations across your team.

Other Requirements_**
- Proven experience as a technology manager or leader within a managed services environment
- 10+ years senior IT cloud/azure experience;
- Facilitation of client workshops and business update sessions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with Service Now and other ITSM tools
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Microsoft Azure certifications, or related fields.
