**About the facility**
- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

**About the role**
- In this Voluntary assisting dying Navigator pivotal role, you will
- Provide a point of contact for the community, health practitioners and health services across Victoria who seek information about or assistance with voluntary assisted dying.
- Work closely with the person, their carers, family and friends, medical practitioners and healthcare teams to tailor support that meets the needs of the person.
- Provide practical support to people, carers and families in understanding the legislation and implications in a person’s specific context. They explore a person’s specific needs and goals of care and assist with identifying appropriate service referral pathways.
- Support VAD assessing medical practitioners in working through legislated processes.
- Help build skills and capacity in the broader health service by providing ongoing professional education, upskilling, working with health services in determining their level of participation and reviewing or implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
