WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

**About the Team**

RDA’s operations in Australia are growing rapidly and we are seeking an experienced **Bid Manager** to join the Support & Services Team during this exciting and dynamic time.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Director of Sales - Vehicle Systems Asia Pacific, the **Bid Manager - VSAP** will be responsible for managing tender processes, managing internal processes, generating bids, supporting business functions in the preparation, approval and submission of offers.
- As the
- **Bid Manager - VSAP**, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Understand and organise submission and bid compliance requirements to ensure allocation and management of work packages to fulfil tender, RFI, RFQ, RFP requirements.
- Manage the bid preparation process in line with relevant internal policies and procedures.
- Support the creation of clear, concise tender documents, business cases, EOI’s and capability statements.
- Liaise with and directly support the Director Sales - VSAP, with critical activities required to project manage the bid process and offer submission requirements (e.g. kick-off meetings, stakeholder meetings, correspondence, template development and internal approval records).
- Development of key messages for each tender/submission and ensuring these are effectively and consistently communicated across the team.
- Forming collaborative and strategic working relationships within the team.
- Developing and implementing innovative ideas to improve bids.
- Represent company at industry events.
- Interaction with CASG, CoA and local Defence industry.
- Some domestic travel will be required to support data gathering activities.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
**Essential**:

- Bid management or coordination experience for developing bids/tenders to support selling complex technologies and solutions
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a regionally dispersed team;
- Well organised strategic territory or business management experience;
- Ability to travel both nationally and internationally as required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).

**Desirable**:

- Experience in writing technical and commercial bids;
- Project management experience; and
- Proposal Management Certification or Training.
