We currently have an opportunity available for a highly motivated and results-driven **Operations Manager Employment** to lead, coach and support our **Workforce Australia** **Services** (WAS) teams across **Richlands, Goodna** and **Springfield**. We have great people in our WAS team who are engaging, proactive and committed to supporting customers to find meaningful and sustainable employment.

**The Role - A Day in the Life of an Operations Manager Employment**

As a Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing operations of an Employment Region (ER) to achieve the successful delivery of the Workforce Australia Services Contract. The role will also include managing staff and resources to achieve operational budgets and ETC’s agreed targets as set by the Department of Education, Skills & Employment (DESE).

**Your Key Responsibilities** will include;
- Monitor and maintain efficient and effective administrative systems to ensure compliance with the contracts managed at each site and ETC policies
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative strategies to support long term unemployed customers into sustainable employment
- Assist the Regional Manager with development and implementation of strategic activities to retain and enhance contracts in each Employment Region (ER)
- Achievement of financial budgets
- Monitoring and achieving of KPI’s across multiple contracts
- Drive & engage positive staff performance, including implementing improvement plans to support underperforming staff
- Manage the physical infrastructure of each office and be responsible for the security of each site including opening and closing procedures
- Manage adequate operational staffing levels at all times whilst balancing effective leave liability

**Criteria for Success**
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership and performance management
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated innovation and initiative skills in problem solving and achieving objectives
- Excellent communication skills and experience in managing staff
- Ability to be flexible and regularly adjust priorities as required
- Ability to maintain a cohesive team environment focussed on meeting ETC's business objectives
- Ability to effectively engage with Key Stakeholders, Departmental Contract Managers and Ministers
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance systems and audits
- The ability to contribute to the development and on-going monitoring of Employment Services Risk Management and Business Plans
- Understanding of Smart and Skilled Framework (only required if position is based in NSW)
- Current clear Working with Children Blue Card (QLD)
- Recent National Police Check
- Current drivers licence
