Maxima, in partnership with the City of Fremantle, have **FOUR **opportunities available for green thumbs to kickstart their pathway within Local Government and horticulture.

These traineeships allow you to get hands-on industry experience, off-the-job study towards a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture** and support from knowledgeable supervisors, mentors and a dedicated Maxima Consultant.

Day-to-day assist to maintain local community parks and streetscapes and be involved in some of Fremantle’s large scale horticultural projects. These roles will give you experience across all operational aspects of the Parks and Landscape group, including working with the Natural Area’s and Urban Forrest teams.

**Duties Include**:

- General garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Turf replacement, renovation, and fertilisation
- Pest and weed control

**Role Requirements**:

- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar trade (desirable)
