We’re seeking a highly capable and strategic People & Culture Program & Performance Manager to join our People & Culture team in this new role, driving the delivery of key programs, performance initiatives, and transformation projects that support our bold organisational vision of ‘People and technology working together to build a better world’.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this critical role will lead the development and execution of the P&C program of work and annual operating plan. You’ll oversee the planning and coordination of programs and initiatives across the People & Culture portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, efficient use of resources, and effective delivery of results.
With a strong focus on program management and organisational performance, you'll guide cross-functional teams, develop reporting frameworks to track progress against KPIs, and implement communication strategies that support successful change and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the annual P&C cycle of planning, performance reporting, and project delivery
- Coordinate complex transformation initiatives across the P&C function
- Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards aligned to strategic KPIs
- Support prioritisation of P&C investments and resourcing to maximise impact
- Working closely with Swinburne University communications team to ensure communications strategies and plans are in place
- Partner with senior leaders to align P&C programs with broader university goals

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have extensive experience and demonstrated ability in a medium to large sized organisation, in the key accountabilities below:
- Proven ability working in large and complex environments to bring contemporary best practice P&C skills to the organisation.
- Strong expertise in P&C program management and operations with experience working across large and complex organisations assisting to drive change and transformation.
- Proven experience at developing leading edge, innovative people strategies and annual operating plans with demonstrated achievement to plan.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools with excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in developing comprehensive governance and management reports that transcend basic data presentation, integrating thorough analysis, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Experience in evaluating, developing and implementing improvements to operational aspects of HR, through process redesign and the use of technology (such as AI) and automation.
