- **This is parental leave backfill until March 2026 in our Emergency Management Branch**:

- **Based in Sydney CBD, with flexible work arrangements available**

Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to March 2026 (parental leave backfill).

**About the Role**

As our **Associate Director, Policy**, you will lead high-impact policy projects, drive service delivery reforms, and provide expert advice to the Premier, Minister for Emergency Services and Executive on complex, cross-agency initiatives.
The role provides the opportunity to shape strategic policy directions, influence major government decisions, and manage projects that address state-significant challenges.
In this role, you will lead project teams, engage with key stakeholders, critically analyse policy issues, and develop solutions that drive meaningful reform and effective service delivery.

**A bit about you**
- **Expertise in emergency management policy reforms, government processes, cabinet and legislative processes, and interagency collaboration
- You have extensive experience in policy development, service delivery reforms, and high-level stakeholder engagement
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact initiatives, providing expert advice, and driving evidence-based decision-making
- Ability to analyse complex issues, develop sound policy recommendations, and communicate effectively with senior executives and government leaders
- You have strong leadership skills, capable of managing complex policy projects and cross-agency coordination
