The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Communication Officer (External) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Support the implementation of all external communication and stakeholder engagement aspects of the Communication and Engagement strategy
- Contribute to the development of the Strategic Communication and Engagement team's professional practice
- Administer all measurement metrics as outlined in the Strategic Communication and Engagement strategy.
- Support the preparation of team budgets and administrative reporting
- Contribute to the successful implementation and measurement of external communication and stakeholder engagement projects and campaigns
- Create and distribute external and stakeholder communication materials that adhere to brand standards, are high quality, accurate and consistent, and appropriately tailored for the relevant audience/situation
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant area of communication would be well regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication plus demonstrated background in stakeholder engagement
- Photography, videography and graphic art qualifications/experience, IAP2 Certificate in Engagement (or other community engagement training) will be highly regarded
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - COVID 19
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $94 759 - $103 102 per annum

It manages production of high-quality communication and engagement activity across a variety of channels for both internal and external audiences and provides strategic advice to the executive team and other GCHHS divisions. Based in Southport.
