**About the role**

An opportunity exists for Kitchen Hands (Environmental Service Workers) to join our team in the delivery of services to our residents. You are a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role who will be responsible for undertaking kitchen duties and assisting in the preparation of nutritious meals for our residents.

In this varied role your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas;
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation;
- Assisting with the servicing of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays.

We are currently looking for someone passionate about kitchen services, however, depending on the service's requirements, your day may also include cleaning and laundry tasks like:

- Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing;
- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities' residential areas.

Remuneration for this role is $22.94 - $24.00 per hour commensurate with experience.

**About you**

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and can also work autonomously. You will be passionate about kitchen duties and committed to providing excellent customer service to our residents. Working in a fast-pace environment you will have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.

Ideally you will have:

- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
- Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
- Experience working in commercial kitchens and operating equipment associated with cleaning and laundry is desirable;
- Current National Police and NDIS Certificate or the ability to acquire.
