**About the role**
Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a **Claims Manager** in our Claims team, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of complex life, disability and income insurance claims through investigation, analysis and assessment.
You will be working in a fast paced, team
- oriented environment where your industry knowledge, communication and interpersonal skills will be rewarded.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess claims for the benefit entitlement by reviewing contractual, medical, functional and occupational information
- Conduct functional telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure complete understanding of the illness/injury and absence from work and types of support required to assist with return-to-work planning
- Develop and maintain outcome focused case management plans to assist members return to work
- Deliver written communications in line with the Holistic approach including responses to written enquiries and submissions for claims outside own delegation of authority
**About you**
You are a resilient problem solver who can handle responsibility under pressure, values integrity and with exceptional customer focus. Furthermore, your skills, experience and qualifications may include the following:
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in an Allied health / Customer Service role
- The ability to work in a complex and changing environment
- High level of critical thinking and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to balance our members needs with an empathetic yet commercial approach
