**What will you do?**

Real Estate agencies manage a vast amount of transactions and trust accounts on a daily basis. In this role you’ll be taking care of those transactions by ensuring trust accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable are reliably maintained. As our Accounts & Staff Services Manager, you’ll also be responsible for payroll inclusive of setting up new staff from contracts, letter of offer through to being paid.

**What would be your duties and responsibilities?**

**Management of Accounts**

This includes management of accounts inbox and incoming invoices, preparation of accounts for processing through XERO. Processing, reconciliation and payment of credit card accounts and the handling of queries as necessary. Whilst managing accounts you’d also prepare the quarterly BAS statements and provide a weekly reconciliation of the general accounts.

**Payroll**

Maintain internal sales summary records, prepare salesperson monthly commission statement and prepare timesheets for payroll. In this role you would also process the pays for each staff member and on a monthly basis cover off on PAYG/SRO/Superannuation payments. As a function of this role you will also reconcile staff leave with XERO and or Bamboo HR and from time to time prepare information for the accountant as requested.

**HR Administration**

In this function you’ll be actively involved in the recruitment of any new staff members. This will include assisting in all phases, from developing contracts, letters of offer, arranging/paying for uniforms to inputting their information, setting them up for payment and ensuring compliance against HR procedures, policies and fairwork guidelines. As part of this function, you’ll ensure from an administrative view point the correct files are recorded in Bamboo HR, you’ll also check in with managers to ensure performance meetings are happening (reportable in Bamboo HR).

**Sales & Rental Trust**

As a real-estate agent we’ve got a trust account to manage, your responsibility will be to do daily receipting as required, reconciliation of the sales and rental trust account and end of month rollover and reporting. In addition to this you’ll process a range of sales related transactions including; sales, deposit refunds, advertising refunds, sales commissions and early release of deposits. You’ll also manage the trust account register and liaise with the auditor as required. In managing our trust accounting you’ll have the overall responsibility and utilise an external agency for any overflow work.

**Financial Reporting**

Through XERO you’ll work with the Director to ensure timely and accurate reports are provided. These reports will likely cover off on monthly P&L, balance sheets and leave reports. It’s envisaged that these reports will look at the entire business but also segment by office and department. You’ll work with the management team on budgeting and reporting as requested.

**Special Projects**

From time to time, you may be requested to assist on special projects by the Director that will be confidential in nature. These projects could include but are not limited to business acquisitions, mergers, sales, staff terminations, supplier agreements etc. For these reasons, a work-plan that addresses daily routines would be developed to ensure any time spent away from daily tasks can be adequately covered.
