Thanks to the continued growth of the business, we are now actively looking for a Tradesperson (Diesel Mechanic) with a strong background in business development and leadership, to establish our operations in South Eastern WA (Kalgoorlie - Esperance) and drive continued growth throughout Australia.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to become a part of the leadership team where you can draw on your extensive mining experience to drive AWE’s growth and development strategy. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for building the AWE brand and driving business growth in the largest region of Western Australia. You will be working with our dynamic teams to recruit experienced maintenance personnel and build long standing relations with our clients.

With the role requiring regular travel to remote mining projects, you will have the option to base yourself in Perth or Kalgoorlie. Along with a highly attractive salary package & profit share for your division, you will also have the chance to grow your professional career via a range of professional development opportunities whilst working alongside a highly experienced senior management team.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Building and developing AWE’s operations and providing leadership and guidance to the project teams on areas such as technical advice, contractual support, operational guidance, and establishing continuous improvement.
- Oversee project costs, budgets and ensure key milestones are delivered across your regions.
- Ensure the necessary AWE systems are in place across our operations, and that the project teams are aligned with the relevant legislation, acts, and AWE policies;
- Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with clients through focused and high-level service delivery;
- Enhance AWE’s reputation throughout the industry via stakeholder and community relations.
- Direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 5 years industry experience ;
- A strong commercial acumen with good understanding of mining contracts
- Experience in Business Development with a proven track record of success;
- Experience in developing and leading high performing teams across multiple locations;
