OSHC area usual cleaning

Other ad hoc cleans eg exterior of buildings, gutters etc

Annual leave 2 weeks at Xmas. Other 2 weeks as agreed

Yarranlea Primary School is a multi-age school located on the Griffith University

Mt Gravatt campus. We are situated in a peaceful bushland setting.

**About the role**

Responsibilities include:
**CLEANING**
- A range of day-to-day activities that include cleaning and maintaining all learning areas including the classrooms, office spaces,

Library. Outdoor areas. Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities. (Checklist to be completed daily)

Supplementary cleaning duties throughout the term.
- Assist with the preparation of classrooms, furniture, equipment, and fittings in preparation for

the beginning of each school term and as required. Assist with the moving of furniture and equipment.
- Cleaning, maintaining, and dusting surfaces including ledges, fittings, furniture, equipment, and fans.
- Other duties consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Supervisor/ Principal.

**MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSPERSON**
- Maintenance of school grounds through regular leaf blowing, watering and

garden maintenance, regular weeding and caring for trees, shrubs and garden beds.
- Maintain artificial grass area/Sandpit
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment.

Safe storage of any chemicals or gardening equipment.
- Assist with a range of duties that include coordinating removal of rubbish and/or disposal of rubbish as required.

(Includes emptying of bin in eating area.)

Undertake the periodic cleaning and maintenance of all gutters and drains.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling of areas for assemblies and other events, as required.
- Other duties consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Supervisor/ Principal.

**About you**
- You must hold a current Working with Children Blue Card (P)
- Preferably have knowledge of groundskeeping.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 - 20 per week

**Salary**: $25.88 - $35.00 per hour
