- **Opportunity to join the Leveraged Finance & Core Plus Infrastructure team within Corporate & Institutional Banking**:

- **Seeking experience in originating, structuring and analysing infrastructure, project finance or leveraged finance transactions**:

- **Associate Director permanent opportunity based in Sydney or Melbourne. This role will focus mainly on core plus infrastructure transactions**

**As an Associate Director, you will**:

- Source, structure and lead the execution of new transactions for Private Capital and Corporate clients, with a strong focus on core plus infrastructure
- Liaise with other areas of Corporate & Institutional Banking in order to take advantage of cross sell opportunities.
Lead discussions with external parties (syndicate banks, private capital clients, corporate clients, external advisers).
- Actively promote and market the business internally and externally.
- Assist CME team to manage a portfolio of loans in order to ensure the preparation, risk management & administration of credit and legal related issues in respect of those assets. This may also involve input and overview of annual credit reviews in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work with internal stakeholders such as client coverage, markets, internal legal and private capital syndicate.

**The Leveraged Finance & Core Plus Infrastructure team structures and arranges**:

- Leveraged finance transactions: LBO’s and corporate M&A transactions for both Private Equity and Corporate clients; and
- Core plus infrastructure transactions: debt financings across digital infrastructure (telco towers, fibre, data centres, smart meters, digital concessions) and other alternative/value add infrastructure (social, transport/logistics, services to government/infrastructure). Transactions include M&A, capex projects and refinancings.

The team mostly works with Private Capital clients with strong growth expected as this client set continues to raise and invest capital and undertake M&A.

This role will be skewed towards working on core plus infrastructure transactions but will require a willingness to work across leveraged finance transactions based on deal flow and resourcing requirements.

**What will you bring**:

- Good understanding of debt & financial products
- Strong credit risk and structuring skills obtained in a project finance, infrastructure finance or leveraged finance team.
- Able to interpret legal contracts including both project and financing documentation
- Experience in credit risk together with a good understanding of business/commercial practices
- Confident in utilising and amending financial models
- Tertiary qualifications and technical knowledge
