**The Role**:**
National Capital Private Hospital is looking to hire a Support Services Manager to join our hospital leadership team. To be successful in the role, you will have excellent customer service skills, managerial capabilities and understand the importance of hospital Infection Control/ hygiene standards.
**As Support Services Manager your responsibilities will include**:
- Daily operation and management of the Support Services Department (Catering, Housekeeping and Wardsperson).
- Ensure Australian Standards including infection control standards and food handling standards are maintained at all times and audited at designated periods.
- Take an active role in the management of Work Health and Safety (WH&S) issues pertaining to the department ensuring a safe work environment and safe practice for staff.
- As a key member of the management team providing strategic leadership and operational support to facilitate and coordinate the delivery of optimum quality service through the effective management of human, financial and material resources is an expectation.
- The Support Services Manager will work as part of the healthcare team, adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient and economic running of the unit, and participate in working parties or committees as required.
- Demonstration of a commitment to continuous quality improvement through National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS), Workplace Health and Safety practices and an achievement of hospital/facility accreditation whilst delivering a high standard of customer service at all times is integral to this position.
- Experience in a Hospital/Hotel/Cleaning/Food Services Management
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and rostering
- Experience in budgets and financial resources
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills and working knowledge of MS Excel
