Based in
**Brisbane**, the
**Gas Retail Pricing Manager** is responsible for leading initiatives to expand the reach and addressable market of the Gas Retail business. This will involve undertaking the required research, compliance, registration and internal process development in order to expand our Gas Retail capability to cover each Australian state as well as the Australian Capital Territory.

The Gas Retail Pricing Manager will have a key focus on identifying opportunities to add material value to the Gas Retail business. Working with the Product and Operations Manager, a strong understanding of customer requirements, market structure and market developments will assist in developing new service and product offerings that add material value to the Gas Retail business, including considering offerings that span beyond the realm of traditional retail activities.

The Gas Retail Pricing Manager will also lead the Pricing function within the Gas Retail team. As well as the day-to-day generation of pricing, this will entail day to day commercial decision-making and contract negotiation with customers and their advisers.

With respect, integrity and honesty, you will:

- Lead market entry and product development activities based on research and considering regulatory & compliance, technical, trading, legal and retail point of view;
- Maintain and extend pricing models to support all markets/products targeted by the Gas Retail business, ensuring pricing for each region adequately recovers costs and delivers adequate returns;
- Create new contracting structures and work closely with the Product and Operations Manager to ensure that customer contract structures are serviceable by our operational processes and systems;
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, customer needs and pain points, and market and regulatory developments to develop additional market opportunities for the Gas Retail business; and
- Lead and manage the pricing team to ensure Shell Energy’s high standards of service are maintained.

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

- Extensive experience in researching and developing plans to deliver project objectives based on requirements discovered;
- Previous experience in energy markets, pricing and/or commercial analysis;
- Excellent excel skills, preferably with great VBA experience;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent organisational skills and time management;
- Ability to lead and manage high performing teams;
- Extensive analytical and leadership capability;
- Good communications skills, both written and verbally; and
- SQL Knowledge would be beneficial.
