Vitalcare has pioneered nurse call systems in hospitals and aged care facilities for over 30 years. The company designs, manufactures, installs and services the most innovative systems available through a network of company owned branches and distributors in Australia and New Zealand.
Systems include traditional nurse call infrastructure with both wired and wireless technology along with specialist ecosystems for dementia support, fall detection, RTLS, and wandering resident management.
Expertise includes wireless IoT (internet of things), mmWave radar, voice, lidar and machine vision. All Vitalcare systems are supported via Vitalcloud, the company’s secure cloud-based management and reporting network.
Vitalcare also operates ‘Rosie’, a 24-hour personal emergency call centre.
**The Role**
Vitalcare has a challenging opportunity for a National Service Manager. The role is based at our Lane Cove head office with national responsibility for all our field service staff. Our business is growing rapidly and we need an industry professional to ensure we meet high standards of customer service and efficiency.
The role includes co-ordinating all service and installation activity for our customers, managing technicians, training, OHS, client liaison and client site audits. Some interstate and international travel may be required to visit other Vitalcare offices and distributors.
The successful applicant will have excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role suits either an experienced service manager, or a senior field engineering wishing to transition into management.
Experience in commercial data cabling, fit-off, field service and IP network installation and configuration is essential, as is a customer centric focus.
Familiarity with both site OHS and security compliance is essential, as is a proactive and collegiate work ethic.
Relevant qualifications in electronics, engineering are essential, and project management skills, experience or qualification are desirable.
Outstanding communication skills are essential.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The role entails the following duties and responsibilities.
- Project management of field installations, repairs and support of Vitalcare customers products and systems nationally.
- Management of Vitalcare’s field management information and job booking system (GeoOps).
- Creating, management and enhancing a team environment for the field and customer service staff.
- Accountability for field staff chargeable time including ensuring all time and materials are accounted for.
- Management of the vehicle fleet nationally.
- Training of field technical staff in the installation, servicing and support of Vitalcare products and services.
- Ensuring technical staff compliance with statutory and client site requirements for health, safety and security.
- Management and maintenance of service, installation and product documentation.
- Collaboration with all other Vitalcare business departments as necessary to facilitate the smooth and profitable running of the business.
- Quality control to industry best practice standards.
