WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

**About the Team**

Located at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Redbank, our engineering team support our Vehicle Systems division. You support configuration management across all our variants for Land 400 Phase 2. This is a rare chance to join a collaborative team of engineers, technical specialists and analysts. The Configuration Controller is responsible for establishing and maintaining the configuration management (CM) environment, policy and procedure guidelines, CM planning, reporting and audits across our programs.

**About the Role**
- As a Configuration Controller, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Create and maintain Configuration Management Plans and all processes pertaining to Configuration Management.
- Manage Configuration Management related efforts Land 400 Phase 2 Project.
- Create, perform and monitor Configuration Management deliverables.
- Produce and monitor management reports.
- Lead the Land 400 Phase 2 team in all matters pertaining Configuration Management for L400 ACQ, TLS and Change Control of all Land 400 Phase 2 products.
- Plan and execute Configuration Management throughout the project lifecycle, including product development.
- Establish, maintain, monitor and report contractually required or internally directed baselines (e.g. functional, allocated, and product baselines) with appropriate Engineering documentation and Standards.
- Establish, review, oversee and update configuration management processes, including end to end change process.
- Consult and coach project teams.
- Conduct Configuration Control Board/s (CCB) and other working groups to include coordination with board members, writing appropriate board directives, and tracking action items.
- Oversee the end to end Technical Information Bulletin release process.
- Develop, implement and maintain documentation processes and procedures.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- Experience in Configuration management and Change management.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and PDM systems.
- Skill in dealing with parts lists and drawings.
- Target-focused, structured and independent working approach, analytical mind and reasoning.
- Ability to influence people from different levels of the organization.
- Strong all round IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite to (advanced).
- Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good background understanding of Project Configuration Management.
- Experience in Defence contract configuration management.
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
