About the Role

As the Head of Special Education Services at Picnic Creek State School, you will:
Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.
You will lead to achieve improved learning, engagement and wellbeing outcomes, deliver quality professional development for staff, connect with external providers, coordinate and provide intensive and targeted teaching for students requiring intervention and plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
You will implement and coordinate school-wide systems including data systems to monitor students with disability and record the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability.

This role will include a teaching role and lead the Inclusion Support Team.

This position is line managed by our principal and is a member of the Leadership Team.
