AKT Demolition is seeking an experienced and dedicated **Health and Safety Advisor** to join our growing team. Based in Malaga (WA, 6090), this full-time role presents an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

**Position**:
As a Health & Safety Advisor, your tasks & responsibilities will include:

- **Designing and refining safety protocols**: Develop, implement, and evaluate environmental health management and occupational health and safety plans to align with industry standards.
- **Overseeing waste management systems**: Plan and ensure the safe, cost-effective disposal of commercial, industrial, medical, and household waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
- **Conducting risk assessments and hazard mitigation**: Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate strategies to minimize risks in various work environments.
- **Fostering a safe and productive work environment**: Develop and enforce initiatives to manage chemical and physical workplace hazards and reduce environmental pollution.
- **Promoting ergonomic practices**: Advise on and implement ergonomic solutions to improve workplace comfort, ensuring that equipment, furniture, and tasks are appropriately suited to the employees’ needs.
- **Carrying out inspections and audits**: Regularly assess work sites, machinery, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- **Training and educating staff**: Lead training sessions on safe work practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures to empower employees to maintain a safe working environment.
- **Managing incident investigations**: Record and investigate workplace injuries, equipment damage, and other safety-related incidents, providing actionable insights to enhance safety measures.
- **Facilitating workers’ return to work**: Support the reintegration of injured employees, ensuring they are safely returned to work with suitable accommodations if necessary.

**What You Bring**: To succeed in this role, you will need:

- **3+ years of professional experience** as a Health & Safety Advisor, with a proven track record in the development, enforcement, and evaluation of health and safety policies.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental health legislation and the ability to implement strategies to improve health outcomes.
- Registration or licensing may be required, depending on your qualifications.

**Remuneration**:
Annual remuneration will be $73,150 + Superannuation.
