**Your new role**

Following a recent review of people and payroll systems and practices, ECMS has obtained approval to proceed with the design and implementation of a new people technology ecosystem. There has been a comprehensive process to define the drivers, desired outcomes, and guiding principles of the project and preferred vendors have been identified. The **Payroll Implementation Officer** will support the project through all aspects of payroll system implementation, contributing to successful design, data migration, testing and deployment of the new modules.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working alongside a properly resourced core project team, you will optimise the implementation of fit-for-purpose systems and processes which automate and streamline manual tasks, reduce errors, reduce risk (e.g. over or underpayments), improve regulatory compliance and tracking and improve employee experience through seamless processes and systems. You will also support the configuration and maintenance of new Payroll and WFM modules, and play a key role in data analysis, cleansing and migration from legacy databases and systems.

**About you**

You possess a deep and thorough understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, coupled with extensive knowledge of legislative requirements and compliance obligations, who’s experienced in system implementation and/or configuration. You’re well versed with payroll and HR software systems such as ADP and Kronos. You’re proficient in Excel and have advanced analytical skills. You enjoy using these skills to identify better ways of working to bring about positive change, both for yourself, others, and your organisation. You recognise that you play a part of a broader team and thrive on getting to know and sustaining relationships with those around you.

**Day to day you will**:

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to design and implement Payroll and WFM modules, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and instruments
- Develop and document payroll procedures, advise and train stakeholders on system functionality
- Identify and analyse system deficiencies, and recommend solutions to improve processes and ensure accurate payroll transactions
- Support payroll team, ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems, and perform day-to-day processing tasks as needed.
