**About the role**
The Remote Care Acute Leukemia Nurse Coordinator role has been established with the support of the Western and Central Melbourne Integrated Care Service (WICMICS) to develop the required protocols, workflows and training materials to support the implementation of a home-based acute leukemia care program at RMH and across the region.
- The position will be based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the role will work collaboratively with the Haematology and BMT unit, Home First service and WICMICS to plan the implementation and evaluation of a home-based model of care for older patients receiving new novel based therapies.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre work together to provide an integrated clinical haematology services for people with blood cancers and blood disorders.
- The unit are a specialist service providing the highest quality care and world-class clinical and laboratory research expertise to ensure patients with blood disorders receive exceptional care.
**At RMH, the team focuses on**:
- Acute Leukemia
- Allogeneic bone marrow transplantation
- Non-malignant haematology, such as iron deficiency, thrombosis/haemostasis, haemoglobinopathies such as sickle cell disease and thalassemia and rare haematologic disorders
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Haematology nurse with clinical care coordination and project management skills to support the development of a remote acute leukemia model of care.
**The success profile for role**:
- Min 5 years nursing experience and knowledge of acute leukemia care and clinical management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with key stakeholders and to work collaboratively across disciplines and services
- Be highly organised and can prioritise competing demands
- Skills in project management and planning new model of care implementation
