**The role**

In this fixed term contract role that sits within the PHI & Financial Portfolio team, the Management Assurance Advisor will work across 2 divisions (Customer Portfolio and Customer & Brands) to implement Medibank’s operational risk and compliance frameworks.

As a Management Assurance Advisor, you will be responsible for providing ‘first line of defence’ support to help the business effectively manage incidents, risk and compliance obligations. This will include the provision of expert risk and compliance advice, facilitation of risk management and remediation activities, as well as business controls testing.

- Assist the business to identifying key risks and support the development / maintenance of risk profiles
- Maintain a knowledge of the Medibank operating environment and the impact of regulatory obligations on processes and procedures
- Review and evaluate control procedures (and supporting documentation) to assess their effectiveness in managing risk and compliance
- Support the business in the development and implementation of action plans to remediate inadequate operational controls
- Develop strong, open and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to influence change and support a risk and compliance culture

You are excited by this area and have risk, compliance, or relevant operational experience.

You are a little obsessive about providing advice in relation to regulatory and compliance requirements and have strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. Your ability to build and manage multiple relationships with stakeholders will also see you succeed in this role.

Your knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Medibank operates, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge will see you succeed in this role.

You will also have experience in managing priorities and conflicting issues in a professional/ risk-based manner.
