**The Opportunity**

The Organisational Effectiveness - Quality and Risk team holds a large portfolio that spans across the whole organisation. Specifically the Risk and Compliance team are responsible for internal compliance of current programs and process.

This includes systems and policies that govern client data and information management, quality, audit, compliance, and risk. The Organisational Effectiveness portfolio also leads Berry Street’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, including Berry Street’s Reconciliation Action Plan. The portfolio is also responsible for Past Client Services, including Redress and the Heritage Service.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Risk and Compliance, the Risk and Compliance Officer will support Berry Street services and programs to meet their legislative and regulatory obligations by regular monitoring of Berry Street risk and compliance management systems and internal auditing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conducting internal audits on a range of programs, creating reports and providing constructive feedback.
- Support Berry Street teams in preparing for external audit.
- Monitor and report on external compliance obligations and changes.
- Manage and maintain contract management system.

**About You**
- Analytical person with a keen eye for detail who enjoys interacting with a range of stakeholders.
- Level headed person who is be able to think outside of the box and problem solve.
- Experience in internal audits and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Holds a Diploma qualification in Quality Management, Information Management, Legal Studies, Compliance and Risk or related field and/or experience in similar field.
- You will have excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook (Intermediate Level).
