Our client is an Australian-owned retail/manufacturing company based in Brisbane.

Currently experiencing high levels of growth, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance professional to join their growing team as an Accounts Officer with a focus on Accounts Receivable.

In this newly created position, you will play a pivotal role in managing their accounts receivable processes while also having the opportunity to contribute to other aspects of the accounting department based on your expertise.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring accurate posting of daily deposits
- Conducting meticulous reconciliations of customer accounts
- Managing and maintaining customer invoices
- Proactively communicating with customers to resolve discrepancies and address queries
- Following up on overdue accounts
- Keeping management promptly informed of any issues related to accounts receivable
- Handling the processing and investigation of chargebacks and returns
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable/Accounts experience
- Demonstrated expertise in managing accounts receivable for major retailers, including proficiency in handling chargebacks and returns
- Accounting degree (desirable)
- Familiarity with a major finance/ERP system (desirable)
- Proficiency in Excel to effectively analyze and present financial data (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.)
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Track record of customer service experience
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience with major overseas retailers (most desirable)
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks and meet strict deadlines
