Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the Surface and Civil team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Superintendent People - Surface and Civil, this role would suit an ambitious HR practitioner, with demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of employee relations. This position will provide HR Generalist support to a portfolio of Macmahon's QLD Surface and Civil operations.

With over 55 years of experience, Macmahon is a mining contractor with a unique capability of offering its clients surface, underground and mining support services.

The level 21 Brisbane office is conveniently located a 2 minute walk from Central Station with end of journey facilities for those self-powering their commute.

**The role**
- Provide accurate advice and high-level support on all HR/ER queries to the leadership team and employees
- Leverage key HRIS tools to deliver and support People Business Partner activities and encourage leaders to use technology to increase efficiency and drive business results
- Analyse and interpret Macmahon employee data and key HR metrics to identify workforce trends, understand and respond to workforce needs
- Support or lead workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
- Liaise with management to identify, drive and achieve retention strategies as outlined within project Attrition Mitigation Plans
- Issue and analyze monthly People reports to client groups
- Well established experience in a similar role, preferably within a mining environment
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of best HR/ER practices and employment legislation
- Objective with sound judgement and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- SuccessFactors experience would be advantageous
