**Job Description** We are looking for a Practice Manager to join and lead our ARH Wollongong team**

The Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong is a well-established small animal emergency hospital, we provide emergency and overnight care for the entire Illawarra region and pride ourselves on offering the highest standard of patient care.

Recently renovated, the revamped space boasts a total of nine consult rooms, with the addition of five new ones, three state-of-the-art surgical theatres, purpose-built areas for dental care, ultrasound, and endoscopy, as well as a brand-new reception area, complete with a cat-friendly waiting zone

We are seeking a supportive leader ideally with both strong clinical nursing and people management skills - this is the perfect opportunity to lead an experienced, friendly team and not completely step away from the clinical aspects of nursing.

**Your new role;**
- Full time or Part time position available - availability for late night and weekend shifts required
- Managing the day-to-day operations of our hospital, including stock management, rostering and change management
- Monitoring monthly financial performance and team performance, whilst implementing actions to encourage improvement
- Leading a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy Vets
- Guiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team culture
- Provide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients, collaborating with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatments
- Monitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
- Driving our business forward through creating and implementing local marketing initiatives

**What you’ll bring to the role;**
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 4+ years of experience working as a vet nurse with previous experience leading a team
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of emergency nursing practices and procedures
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work
- Great attention to detail
- HR experience in performance monitoring and management
- Strong leadership and team building skills, and the ability to provide coaching for team members and to build a positive culture in your team
- Experience with Rx works (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good business acumen and organisational skills
