Hawksworth have partnered with a major corporate to on-board a
**Data Governance Manager**. This is a
**permanent role and will be based in Brisbane.**
**You will work 2 days in the office and the rest WFH.**

The purpose of the role is to manage data governance functions within the Data and Enterprise Technology team in accordance with the objectives of the Data & Analytic Strategy.

**Accountabilities**
- Support Senior Management, comprising resources from all functional areas to achieve Data Governance objectives and priorities, resolve issues escalated and align outcomes to expectations of regulatory bodies as required.
- Manage data governance team resources to achieve the objectives of data governance programs of work.
- Oversee development and maintenance of enterprise wide data flows, systems lineage and metadata, active data definitions and allocated owners as per the data governance framework
- Collaboarate with business function data governance roles to delivery data governance programs of work ensuring there is clear accountability for the stewardship of data assets.
- Champion the enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on the data governance capabilities including improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through influencing and modifying organisational policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture
- Serve as a liaison across functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritisation and planning
- Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
- Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience Mandatory
- Marketing / Financial / Business Studies / Statistics Desired

Experience (minimum type and level of experience required to perform the
- Experience in providing tailored advice to senior management
- Experienced in the usage and formulation of Data Governance Frameworks
- Project Management and/or consultancy skills
- Experienced presenter
- Ability to develop and manage multiple relationships and to influence and partner with varied stakeholders across the business
- Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
- Analysis & Problem Assessment having a strong ability to analyse information and provide meaningful assessment to all stakeholders.
