Federal government agency requires an Environment & Sustainability Specialist to join their team.
**Your new company**
A major federal government organisation that owns a wide range of multi-use national assets requires an Environment & sustainability Specialist to provide advice on environmental/sustainability projects and initiatives.

**Your new role**
Reporting into the Environmental Operations Team Manager you will lead the continual development and execution of the environmental monitoring program for their on-ground operations. Day to Day you will be responsible for:

- The design and development of processes to ensure their environmental impact and footprint is reduced
- Provide technical input to reduce their pollution risk and ensure compliance with obligations as demonstrated through monitoring activities
- Provide assessment and analysis of information with a view to improve their organisational environmental sustainability performance
- Manage contractor performance for environmental monitoring activities to ensure effective delivery against scope requirements
- Ensure compliance with all enterprise governance systems and policies, including Safety, Environmental, Work Health and Safety (WHS), Risk and Financial

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or Science (or similar) with industry experience
- Extensive experience in designing and leading monitoring programs
- Technical expertise and demonstrated experience in the management of energy, waste, contamination, and air quality
- Demonstrated experience in delivering environmental projects to improve controls
