The DNV Energy Systems GreenPowerMonitor and Solutions business area is seeking an experienced Portfolio Software Business Developer to join our APAC team. This position will be the customer facing proponent for our cloud-based asset management software solutions in this market.
The APAC Portfolio Software Business Developer will be part of the Global Business Development team. The role will be to qualify and proactively seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential new customers. The role requires excellent communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with potential new customers. They will be responsible to attend conferences, be a visible presence on social media, meet Customers, understand their needs, write proposals and obtain executed contracts from Customers
Day-to-day tasks may include:
- Presenting the company and its multi-technology products (wind, solar and battery storage) including advanced analytics to potential customers.
- Building trusting relationships with potential customers.
- Understand the user profiles and user stories that GPM products satisfy in the market.
- Identifying new potential customers needs and suggesting appropriate products.
- Work closely with the Cloud product owners to ensure alignment on GPM offering.
- Manage the portfolio software sales pipeline / order intake for the APAC region.
- Report to the APAC regional manager to coordinate the sales pipeline.
- Develop regional market development plan and annual sales targets.
- Translate technical requirements into proposals.

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Renewables, Management information systems, Business administration.
- 3+ years’ experience in a technical sales role, including knowledge of how wind, solar and energy storage plants work is preferred. Sales experience within the renewables or software industry is highly desired.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information concisely to the Customer. Other languages are a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a high pressure, Customer centric environment while delivering high quality work.
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls) and a demonstrated record of achieving targets.
- Build and maintains a strong network of both external and internal contracts and relationships and utilize it to achieve GPM objectives. Experience with Salesforce and LinkedIn Navigator is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts).
- Understanding of sales funnel KPIs and performance metrics.
- Confident as a speaker and presenter in Customer
