Leading a small team, you will have carriage of the oversight, management and delivery of the NSW RFS’ assurance activities. You will also have a critical role to play in ensuring the RFS meets its compliance obligations, and be responsible for the development and delivery of an effective reporting framework for inquiries in which the NSW RFS is involved.

The Supervisor Assurance reports to the Director, Legal and Assurance within the NSW RFS.
- a track record in the effective delivery of an agency’s assurance functions and the ability to form strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results
- sound judgment and critical thinking capabilities. You can identify or anticipate barriers to outcomes and implement pragmatic solutions to problems
- an innate ability to lead your team. You can clearly communicate roles and responsibilities and build capability to enhance the team’s assurance function
- experience in procurement and contract management. This includes the ability to evaluate tenders and select providers, and manage relationships with external providers to ensure their contract performance is effective.
- the ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment and any changes in priorities that come with it. You are proactive and productive and committed to achieving work goals.
- strong organisational skills and can plan and prioritise your work and the work of your team.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience is required.
