Waste Operations Team Leader - Contract Opportunity

**Your new company**

Local government organisation seeking a Waste Operations Team Leader to join the team for a 3-month contract and help to ensure the Waste Management Services are delivered in compliance with Waste Management Policies and the Local Government Act 1993.

**Your new role**

This role involves being responsible for the day to day running of the waste team, tasks will include managing the team during daily collections, maintaining service delivery, managing the individual team members and ensuring the team is always working towards waste operations goals and objectives. Significant management experience within the waste or resource recovery space will be essential in order to be successful in this role as there will be an expectation to hit the ground running and jump straight into a management role.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Significant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a diverse team in a customer service focused environment
- Demonstrated experience in managing, monitoring and reporting on agreed customer service levels
- Knowledge of plant and equipment as used in cleansing and graffiti removal
- Experience in the operations of domestic waste collection and recycling operations
- Experience in understanding of environmental issues emanating from domestic, recycling and commercial waste collection
