**The Role**

Small, unique, extended hours Child Care Subsidy Preschool Service located in Pyrmont. KU Maybanke Preschool provides education and care for toddler and preschool aged children Monday to Friday between 8am - 4pm all year round.

We are looking for an experienced director with a passion for incorporating nature play into the curriculum. At KU Maybanke we actively support children's learning with a focus on conservation, sustainability and respecting nature. KU Maybanke is housed in a beautiful heritage listed building, which is named after Maybanke Anderson, the founder of KU.

This permanent role will see you working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday whilst accruing a monthly RDO. This is a teaching directors’ role with one full day dedicated to administration work as well as dedicated programming time each day.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Previous Directing Experience, minimum 2 years
- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Teacher Accreditation through NESA
- Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Solid computer literacy skills as you would be required to work with financial systems
