Lilypad Early Learning Centre is located inside the Top Ryde Shopping Centre in Ryde. The service offers large, purpose-built play spaces for children aged 0-12 years.
The educational programs are founded and constructed on inclusive based approaches, whereby practises are delivered to foster children's natural curiosity for learning. Children are able to freely explore planned and unplanned play experiences, creating their own unique learning journey.
Age-appropriate, inquiry-based learning experiences, expressive arts, physical play and health awareness are all key components that our educators incorporate into our programs.
We adopt strengths-based approach's and recognise the importance of family and community involvement in our setting. Regular events and excursion bring about fun and learning for children and educators.
The integration of culture and language throughout the service is valued and drawn upon, with our educator's bringing diversity and cultural knowledge to the program.
Professional knowledge is enhanced through professional development opportunities for educators, with career progression encouraged for those wanting to take on new roles and challenges.

We need you to:
- Be willing to work towards, be working towards or currently hold an approved early childhood qualification such as a certificate lll or diploma of children's services or be actively studying towards a bachelor's degree that includes the early childhood years of birth to five
- Have a current NSW working with children check
- Hold a current a first aid certificate or be willingness to obtain prior to employment (HLTAID012)
- Demonstrate a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues, families and community members with a positive team approach to workplace developments and critical reflection
- Commitment to child safety with an understanding of contemporary child safe practices and understanding of mandatory reporter requirements
- Ability to observe and document children's play experiences as required, with passion and motivation to help develop, plan and implement learning experiences for all children
- Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings
- Carryout physical duties as part of the requirements of the position throughout a shift period such as general cleaning and in providing physical support to children
- Familiarity with learning about online platforms to be used for recording and sharing records and information with families
